Elefont is a tool to create 3D text objects from TTF fonts. (ELEvated-FONTS.) They are generated into DXF files which you can import for example, into Bryce rendering software. It is equipped with a nice GUI. It was developed to create nice landscape pictures together with text. 

You can also use it to create free scaleable texts from TTF fonts in a CAD system. Some use it with Lightwave.

System requirements:
* Windows95/98 or WindowsNT 4.0 
*A graphic card with at least 65536 colors. 
*The Microsoft Foundation Classes DLL Version 4.2 (located in System 32 directory named MFC42.DLL)
*A 3D rendering program which can import 3D DXF objects. (Works best with Bryce.)

How to install:

To make downlaod fast and easy there is no installation program and also because there is only a  single exe-file. If you don't have already a MFC42.dll on your system you can download it too. If you don't know, just try to start elefont.exe and if there is no MFC42.DLL available a message box will tell  you. The author's advise is to copy the DLL into the application directory but it also works from the system32 directory.

Create a new directory (for example:C:\program files\elefont). Download the zip file(s) into this application directory. UnZIP the file(s) and create a shortcut on your desktop. You should now be able to run Elefont (Elefont.EXE).

How to uninstall:

Just remove the created application directory. You also can remove the registry entries under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Armanisoft
